Independent word game
About Mana Chain
A daily word-chain puzzle for people who enjoy Magic card names, pattern finding, and sharing efficient solutions.
Why it exists
Mana Chain turns the vocabulary of paper Magic cards into a compact daily puzzle. Each link must carry the final word of one card into the opening word of the next. The game is designed to reward card knowledge while still giving newer players a guided Easy mode.
The project is independently created and maintained. The software, puzzle system, interface, scoring, administration tools, and daily scheduling are original project work.
What the game includes
- Separate daily Easy and Hard puzzles.
- Two-ended chain building, progressive hints, streaks, and archive play.
- Custom single puzzles and optional five-puzzle packs.
- An installable mobile web app and optional 8:00 PM Eastern reminders.
- Exact card-name validation using the complete Scryfall card database.
The game continues to improve based on player feedback. The How to Play guide documents the current rules.
